I had some explaining to do
Tiger 411 is almost complete. This build has really helped me deal with the Chemo I have been going through. . . until today.
This Tiger has the wonderful SLU, 3:1 Gears, Metal Tracks, all clamps and clasps, some scratch made parts, you know. So i decide to take it to the back yard testingground to be sure I have no track slipping off issues in some rough ground.
So I proceed out the sliding glass door and set my little beauty in the back so I can film him rolling toward the camera. However I forgot the camera in my office. So I go ahead and switch on the Xmitter and the tank and go to get the camera.
As I walk back to the sliding glass door which is still open what do I see? Well one of those huge Canadian Snow geese has landed in the yard and is finishing off some of my son's blackberrys.
Now how much fun would it be to chase the goose with the Tiger? Oh yeah this will be great. However I don't want the very large bird to see me in the door. So, I slink out the front door and around the front yard to the back gate where I can watch all the fun.
Priding myself with my timing I fired up TIGER 411 just as the goose turned away. A nudge on the right stick and TIGER 411 attacked. I goosed the goose with the metal 88, and the wings which at the time looked like they belonged on a 747 started flapping.
The large and now really upset goose wanted no part of this and saw no other way out than right through my open sliding glass door. Not so fun now. Our puppy Chewy was a little less than happy about the new guest. The new guest was even more unhappy at the whole situation.
Do you know what a goose does when really scared or mad? Goose poop sprayed the living room, and the goose still wanted to fly. Oh did I mention the celing fan was on? Now the dog decided this must be some type of game and goes after Mr. goose. This is where I came in the door to find the goose trying to eat my dog. I go to shoo the goose out the door, but it decides one more time to try to fly out. Which might have worked had it not been for the ceiling fan. Feathers mixed with poop flew everywhere.
I going through Chemo so some aromas cause me problems, and it turns out goose poop is one of them. Now here I am yodeling groceries, chasing a very large, scared mad and stunned goose around my living room which now looks like something from a horror movie. The dogwho moments before had been so brave now managed to move the sofa and hide under it.
After what I know was 6 or 7 hours (maybe 30 seconds) thegoose found its way out the door and into the air with honks that if translated would not be able to be printed here.
I will be testing TIGER 411 at a later date.

I've never quite burst out laughing reading RCU forums, until this very day. Kudos on an awesome adventure, perhaps some wisdom, and the greatest Rc tanking story ever

I only just stopped laughing...oh my Don, that is a great story (to hear about, but I'd hate to have to clean it up). Just think, if only you had a souped-up airsoft unit in that Tigerthings might have been even worse! I am definitely buying your books after reading this brilliant bit of proes!!

RE: I had some explaining to do
I was sorta lucky. We had just put out the wife's Snow Village. For a breif moment with the goose trying to fly over the little village it looked like a very bad redneck remake of RODAN. Fortunatly for me, the dog and the goose, no village buildings were damaged during the air raid.

RE: I had some explaining to do
After hearing your goose story i figured i would share my best cat story . My girlfriends cat sheds hair around the whole house and is lazy . I dont like cats and have always thought they were a sneeky beast . One day i came home and the sneeky beast was sleeping (go figure) on top of our canister vacume cleaner . My girl friend was at worrk but had left the vacume out (why so the cat could sleep on it) but when my girl friend vacumes she never uses the on off switch she pulls the cord loose from the outlet that is real close to the front door.I was very very quite and reached down and plugged the vacume back in .lmao The cat let out a loud noise while jumping straight up in the air and landed on the lamp ,it clawed marks in the shade while its feet were trying to get traction to get away further from the vacume. It was funny but i had to go buy a new shade and the cat wont sleep down stairs any more and my girl friend thinks it needs to see a shrink so i probly will be paying for the shrink too. joe

Don,
Only you could have had this happen. Very funny, even my wife enjoyed the story. We should start a thread on your adventures, or should I say miss-adventures. hope your feeling better.

Be thankful you didn't have a loaded 12 gauge laying around...
