Tank Comanders...Lets see some

RE: Tank Comanders...Lets see some
I have several, WWII and modern.
My advice;
Research. Online and even better, use books.
Use a tiny brush.
Use paint on a pin for small details.
Use reading glasses when you paint, I use 2x ones from wal-mart.

RE: Tank Comanders...Lets see some
Hey guys,
I guess I'll share
This US tanker is painted with acrylics and water colors. Nothing special about the technique. I usually airbrush a base coat of Tamiya Dk. Yellow, then brush paint the cloth and skin tones. Once everything is got it's base color applied its a matter of adding shadows and highlights, and with the skin tones I usually add orange and rust browns to bring the skin to life and look less flat.
I did a figure painting tutorial on our club website, here's a link www.desertarmor.com/DAK2/Figure_Painting.html
if you're even remotely interested

Some very amazing work here. Those of us that admire these know you could easily open shop and sell them for quite a fortune!

Nice TC's guys. I am humbled.
How do you get the flat, non-reflective look for the fabric?
My little dudes all look like they have plastic clothes on.

Dog photo with the map in, his or her, mouth should be titled, "Do not make me pull this tank over!!", or "Good dog just give the map to daddy and I will not use a wire hanger!!". Very good use of the dog figure in both photos. Brings it to life. Also like the Tiger I stopped while checking the map, "I told you to turn left at the last cross roads!!!" Good stuff.

He wouldn’t have commanded a company of Funnies would he then it would be Hobart but the question is who invented the Funnies
Here are a few I have done with more to come, I have just received 4 from Karl which I will be doing a post on time permitting

Really great work guys...I especially like the way they all have a personality to them, some could be real %$ holes and some are just plain funny.

Major. J. F. C. Hobart the one and only, he commanded the funnies but was not responsible for their designs these belonged to various other inventors all from England, on June 6 only the British and Canadians were interested in these tanks which saved the lives of many
