RE: M18 hellcat build
Nice Job Frank
Nothing wrong with a stand off Hellcat. I am sure you are like me. Build what you want, do the best you can with the material you got and tuck away all the helpful advice so the next one is a litte more accurate.
It is unique and a welcome addition to the battlefield.
Cheers

doh...... ..what's really confusing is that looking at pics online I see M18's witha coupledifferentstyles of track....so confusing lol.. Anyway, couldyouadd an extra roller without doing a ton of modifications(not nit-picking, just asking), I'm sure you probably already looked into this? I might be interested in purchasing one if you'd have one to sell...

RE: M18 hellcat build
That Hellcat looks great.....They have one on display at Danville and I've see one running many years ago. Boy are they fast. At the Extravaganza each spring they have a WW II vet who commanded the Hellcat. He has pix of the KT they KO'ed in France. He is great to talk with. We have had them on the RC tank battlefield too. James had a 1/16 Hellcat and it ran great. He is a super talented scratch builder. He did well in battle, but the field was not big enough to make full use of the Hellcats speed. There were not enough places for him to run and use that speed advantage effectively. In IR battle it is only rated as a light tank despite that big gun. So 3 hits and it is dead. In IR battle there are very few if any light tanks used. James sold it after e few events and I have not seen or heard of it since. I'd love to see some video of yours in action. Will you IR battle it? If you make it to a NEAD event at Danville see me and I will try to arrangement for some up-close time for you with the Hellcat.
Good Luck, Bob
