Default New Speakers from Mato

Hey guys,

Just saw this while browsing Matomart, they seem to be new to me:

It looks like they have a miniature speaker box design. I wonder what the sound quality will be...

I have used these speakers in an my T-55. They are not bad, but do not measure up to a Aura or Visitron.. Good if space is limited, and better then the stock HL stuff . Mouser has stocked these for a long time.

Taigen speakers are good but they are rated at 4 Ohms impedance...You can have an Aura or Visaton giving you the same acoustic pressure with an 8 Ohms impedance; therefore consuming less current from the battery...

Hey Norm, a link to those speakers (aura and visaton) would be terrific if you have one. I've dealt with Mouser with good results so I'll look there, too. Better speakers are on my to-do list so I might as well start learning about them now, and I know you've got lots of experience because of the acoustic smoker.

i have them in some of my trains. they are quite loud for their size - indoor though. i don't know how it will fare outdoors. these would be really nice though for those tight spaces.

I've read good stuff about the Visitron speaks.
Aim to run them with an Amplifier,
8 Ohms is what I've seen referenced, but really depends on the Board or Amplifier you intend to run.

It depends on the amp. A Benedini likes 8 ohms, If you run 4 ohms it will get very hot, and you can overdrive the amp. It has never happened to me yet, but it can
