Default 1/16 Heng Long M4 Sherman Three Piece Transmission Cover

Ran across this piece while searching Shapeways for 1/16 scale parts:
http://www.shapeways.com/product/QVG...ionId=40350844

Cant vouch for Fit or Finish, but it looks interesting.

Also found quite a few parts and pieces for 1/16 scale T55...

I'm currently hunting parts for a 1/16 scale Willis Jeep Build.

Pegasus makes a much cheaper V-1, it's 1/18 but close enough.

Some of their prices are a bit much (for me), but I saw a lot of tank parts that I would buy in a minute before I attempted a scratch build.
Thanks for the heads up on that menu. I bought a small field piece from them and am very happy with it. That three piece tranny cover is a bugger to scratch build. I wash they had been available when I needed one (or two).

They're made to fit the Heng Long M4 with a bit of trimming.

This is how my test piece turned out (due to the way my printer works I had to break it down into several parts but the one on Shapeways is just one part).

OK ...... but that still beats the heck out of the time it takes to scratch build one.

I hear Ya Fellas...

Was just doing some deep searches on site...
Shapeways Search Engine is kinda Wonky...
So was running down All kinds of 1/16 Scale Rabbit Trails looking for possible Parts for a Willis Jeep Build... Among other things.
Gearing up to Build a Speedline LCM-6 in 1/16 scale this Summer, have a Sherman to Transport in it...
Thinking the Jeep would be Fun to land on the Beach as well.
Guess a Halftrack or Five Ton Truck would work too.

Think I will pick up one or two of those Hedge Hogs.
For Close Ups... Then Scratch a few more for the Background...

And the U.S. Jerry Cans look Nice, and aren't too bad at $6 each...

I have picked some 1/24 scale parts for a 77' Elco PT Boat I'm building.
Parts look real Nice...

I Really need to get Busy learning a decent 3D Modeling Application.

Hey Woz. Loving the look of the Sherman bogie wheels. Might pick up a pair sometime in the future.

http://www.shapeways.com/product/RPU...ionId=40424727

Do they come with the black printed on or is that real rubber?

They're all printed.

I have done some printed wheels that use rubber tubing as tyres but I've not put them up on Shapeways yet.

Hmmm. Now you got me thinking if I want the full printed or rubber wheeled versions. I like the stock, but having so many moulded wheels is boring. Rubber would be a nice difference.
