Default "Murder Inc" WIP

...been working on one of the supporting cast of Fury...
After getting the names mixed up, I've also realised the tank I'm doing had a 3-piece tranny cover...so knocked one up, just needs blending in...
...
..also I don't usually have the oppertunity for before/after pics...so here's a couple...

That's it, I'm reportin' ya to the child labor people. Poor Fyn's just too young to have to deal with the pressure of this pace in manufacturing.

Seriously though, I haven't seen fury so I'm a little confused about the Murder Inc tank. In the film it had Murder Inc on the barrel, right? So what about that photo I found of the real murder Inc that had that really cool marking on the left side at the front? This one

Is this a different tank? I think it must be because I see some real differences, like the tranny cover and it looks like the rear deck hangs out more on the movie tank. Did you find much info on the tanks they actually used in the film? Did they give any history of the real tanks? Is the movie just fiction based on real events, or did they try for historical accuracy?

Anyway, I really like this tank's markings a lot more than the movie tank. I know the allies really did have some good artists in the ranks, and I think tanks didn't get their fair share of recognition for creativity. Everybody loves the bomber nose art, and tanks kind of got lost in all that, but they really had some cool stuff painted on these machines.

"Fury"'s fiction (verging on fantasy in places..but still a great film)....but the tanks used are based in museums or collections in the UK just renamed for the film...
here's "Murder inc" without logs/stowage...

and Fyn and his brother met "lucy Sue" the other week..

..as to "Nose art"...love it...may not be authentic but I do put it on most of my builds...

I have two MVPA mags with articals on fury. I believe that old phylis and lucy sue are privately owned, maybe even murder inc.
lots of great pictures between the two articals.

Looks great man. What did you use for the gun mount piece behinde the rotor shield, mthat doesnt look like the HL turret piece?

Evilbay? Really, you made at least three tanks from the movie and your selling them off! Should have kept the set together. Would make a great platoon for a battle.

I love it!

I've cast the whole mount and shield from resin and it fits the gap left by the hl unit with a little fettling...
...as to selling...I don't think I'll be battling much any more so don't mind selling on....although my Fury's a keeper....
