Default My latest addiction is RC tanks

Hello all,

After a long year hiatus from building models I have joined the RC tank community finally. My first purchase has been a metal hulled Taigen Tiger 1 with some electrical upgrades incoming by Dan. Glad to be here and hopefully will not go broke in the process.

Welcome Azmetro - sorry old chap but this is an addiction - you wont be able to have just one tank - this is a great forum and you will find a lot of knowledge and experience here - just ask and you shall receive (knowledge that is!!!).

cheers

Welcome, you've made a good choice for your first tank. Let us know what you think of the BARC when you have it up and running.

Welcome to the group. Sounds like you bought the very same make/model tank as I. It's my first also, and I agree with the more seasoned, it can easily become an addiction. I have never enjoyed a 'big boy" toy as much as I do my r/c tank. Wish I had known about this hobby years ago, got a late start

I got my first Tank in 2008 a WSN Tiger and a T-34 then moved up to Tamiya Pershing Taigen I don't think was around then I've got more than I really need now and some unfinished on shelf and others still in there boxes.
Watch out you can get very hooked on wanting more and fined out you got no more room .

Well understood about the addiction side to R/C tanks, even though I have only been in it 2-3 months. While I still love my Taigen metal Early Tiger tank, already lusting for a #2 to play with. May have to be a Christmas present to myself, least that is what I am convincing myself to do, lol.

Worse things in life than being addicted to a big boy toy. Not hurting anyone, unless you take a second mortgage out to finance one's hobby.

I do plan on getting the tank(s) battle ready although I went and got an airsoft Tiger before I did my proper research. I just visited your group site and it looks amazing the amount of time, effort and detail that go into the battles and tanks, really cool. I will be getting in touch after the Holidays when things slow down on this end.
