Still not completely finished (is any tank?) but close enough to start the video.
Imex/Taigen Stug III, metal upgrade version, brass dual ratio gearboxes, IBU2, HK T6 TX, lipo battery, XT60 connectors, metal tool set, metal spare track links, metal headlight with warm white 3mm LED, photo etch metal screens.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r-s7XUNC-ok Still to come, weathering, stowage, working Notek, LED in MG34, better tow cables, viper, functional exhaust pipes.
When the weather gets a bit better I'll get some in action video.

Nice Stug III G Gary!!! It is one of my favorite tanks or assault guns. I have three of them in different levels of being built. I need to finish at least one of them!!! I like the sound of the IBU.

Very nice Stug, Gary. I am also in the process of upgrading the first version metal Stug III from Taigen. It was originally airsoft which I converted to IR using a 3d printed recoil mechanism. I have also done the notek light and headlght upgrade just like you, the HL was from a Panzer III. I have upgraded the board to a Clark since all my tanks are Clarks.I am in the process of soldering all the brass bars for the schurzen supports and the stowage cage in the back. It is still in its original paint job. I'll post pics when I get a chance.

The hardest part has been coming up with a spare set of mufflers to work with. I've tried to order them a couple times from matomart and they take my money and then wait about two weeks before they tell me the item isn't available after all and they held up my order for nothing. But, now I'm tired of waiting so I'm gonna work with what I have. I don't think it will be super hard, but it won't be exactly a walk in the park, either.

Gary do you need a plastic Stug/PZ III Muffler to use for your experiment? If so, I may have a left over part you can have.

I don't know if y'all have seen what I did with the exhaust on the Tauchpanzer, but you might find it interesting. I have no idea if it's even close to accurate, but it looks pretty cool.

CRIUS,
Cool work on the Tauchpanzer exhaust. Like the paint job too. Very good looking tank. One other thing you can do is fix the headlights. The LED is all plastic up front. You can us a razor saw and cut the plastic flush with the headlight housing. Then use a very thin piece of tape to cover the center horizontally. Paint and remove the tape. Now you have the shielded headlights that came on the tanks and not frog eyes. I have done it on all my tanks and l the headlights all work.
Still it is a very goof looking tank and I like all your ideas you post. Thanks for sharing.

That's a good tip, Jim, and I may try that one day, but for this tank I have the metal headlights, just need to find time to install them!
I'll get a photo of the bender, Greg.

I think micro mark has the spring type benders. Next time I'm at the LHS (soon, I need thin sheet styrene) I'll get the brand name so you can google it.
Here's a mod to the JT you'll like, Greg. Way off topic, but it's my thread so i guess i can hijack it if I want to, eh?
