I know this was kicked around some years back but do the current stats warrant tis forum being on it's own, not under cars/ buggies?
Thoughts?

I'm into all kinds of r/c on different forums and it still amaze's me to the thread and read #'s compared to other r/c aspects. What's gained being on it's own other than easier to find off the main page? I have this forum set up on "my forums" so it's just a one clicker anyways. Maybe a tutorial on forum set up would do the same? Not trying to sound like a douche, just saying it's already there.
Where you going with this Jerry? I'm cool with it either way, access off the main page would grab even more " forum ghosts" which would be good.

I do the same as you I have the direct link to the forum bookmarked
so access isn't an issue at all, it's not all about ease of access.
It's about RC armor not having to be in the shadow of any other aspect of RC;
it can stand on its own now more than ever.
That's where I'm going with it. If no one else cares perhaps I'm wrong about this.

I'm not a tank guy and i think you guys should have your own section, The boats do and they are relatively unpopular these days in comparison to how it used to be. In all honesty up until now i thought you did have your own so +1 if my vote counts for anything, its america so prolly not lol Have a good one guys!

Anyone interested in rc tanks and was looking for an rc forum may glance at RC Universe but all they'd see is boats, cars/buggies, planes, trains, etc., so they'd 'blow RCU off and not look back.
Yes, there needs to be a separate listing for 'rc tanks'. The rest of the rc community may look at us as 'those few eccentric tankers' but there's starting to be a LOT of us.

I have a direct link to the forum in my bookmarks, so it doesn't really matter to me. I do admit though, it took me a while to find it when I first started looking for tank forums.

I think this forum should be stand alone. I have this forum book marked. It would be easier for the new comers to RC Tanks, to find and join us. I have been a member since June 2007. The people in this forum are awesome with the information, helpful ideas, and answering the questions of fellow members! BZ guys and gals!

The only thing I can suggest is to use the contact us form and complain/ask there. Just a warning though, mods do ignore most stuff sent to them here on RCU unfortunately
We actually went to their home office in CA to try and talk to some people and they were super rude and wouldnt even give bossman a few minutes of their time. This surprised me as RCG always comes up and says hi to us at shows and we are RCU focused....

It's my opinion but I believe that is a cracking good idea.
I've been in armor since I bought my first Bandai Hummel in 1973, ny first Tamiya Sherman in 1975 and first 1/10 Panther in 1977. I've also built and flown the first generation of Helicopters including
Kavan's Alouette( still hanging in my garage), Jet Ranger, and Schulter's HeliBoy among others; even flew the first electric chopper I'd ever seen- the Ishimasa Sky Lark( wish I'd kept it) on a tether. I ran big gas ( ignition- 'weed eater') boats as a member of the SFMYC from 1979 until 1991. And I've run off road cars in the form of Kyosho Landjumps and Playtron buggies ( because they have self starters!) so I've been around the block on RC subjects....
Besides the Landjumps nothing has endured for me like RC armor: here I've found my alternate home.
RC armor is the best hobby yet invented. It combines historical detail, model engineering, role playing, and art all at once and you can't ( normally) sink, crash or roll one.
"Tanks and Military Vehicles" is a hobby whose time has more than come. Enjoyed all over the world in any one of several scales it deserves it's own stand alone forum entry point here....
What remains is how to get'er done!
