Default Tamiya Leopard 1 A4 F/O IR RC Conversion from the Static Kit.

Been on this build, off and on for over 18 months. The new model is built from the Tamiya Leopard 1A4 static display kit and is purposed for outdoor infrared fighting. Not finished yet, but close enough to play with.

Daryl Turner's magic is all over this build. He designed and fabricated the custom one off hull by adding sponsons, mounting trays, bulkhead and a top deck lift hinge with a quick release setup for fast and easy battery swaps. Bearings have been added to the road wheels and idler wheels. A Henntec adjustable idler system replaces the kit's parts. The gearboxes are from the Tamiya Panther G rc kit and the black motors were sourced from ETO Armor. Daryl scratch built the turret rc setup. I am using a Tamiya electronics package and TBU. The gear box brace and all other metal parts were designed & fabricated by Daryl Turner per my request. The Tamiya Leo crew is by Martin MacDonald.

Your a modeler and that good news means that you can always build another one.

Came out nice. I really like the flip top and the fold up brace.

Answer: Tamiya JS-2 electronics package for easy reliable 4 channel IR RC play.

And this is part of the build "magic" that Daryl Turner brings to the build.
