Default Taigen Sprockets don’t fit.. :(

Hey dudes, been awhile.. So years ago, I took apart my HL Panther to paint it and well.. got busy. I recently decided to paint it and get it back to running order so I could play with it, but i’ve run into an issue. I have these aftermarket Taigen drive sprockets because they look more legit without the hole in the middle, however, it turns out they don’t fit with the tracks. (Metal mato tracks).

Anyone else have this issue? Am I stuck with the crappy HL sprockets? (I guess I could make a center cover..but still)

Getting there.. (fictional markings)

Plastic HL.. mostly fits

Taigen.. ugh..

It's been my experience that Mato tracks require Mato sprockets.

Is there a place to get Taigen tracks? It’s been so many years since I bought the sprockets, I don’t remember where I got them

I checked Taigen’s site, but they’re out of stock.

I also added a link in my previous post to mato sprockets on ebay.

Ah cool, I didn’t notice the mato link the first time. I can’t find the taigen tracks in stock anywhere anyway (except the winter version..) Mato sprocket will be cheaper anyway. Thanks.

You might need to do a smidge of filing on the flat part of your driveshafts to fit the Mato sprockets. That's a good looking Panther BTW.

Thanks. The stock plastic sprocket fit ok. Hopefully the metal ones will too, but now i'm having a bigger issue. Testing the electronics (been years since they've been in), Clark TK22, Imex Premium series motors. First off, the motors are super noisy, like there's a buzzing sound when I push the stick, and then, It's pulling so hard to one side that I have to put the trim all the way to the left, but this affects the turning dynamics at slow speed. Trying to figure out now if this is a hardware issue (motors?) or something with the board or radio.. This thing's getting frustrating..

You can hear the buzzing in this video I made.. Replaced the tracks with the plastic ones too based on these metal ones not working right at all..

I can't help with the clark, as I don't own one. But the Taigen gearboxes probably need a fresh coat of grease after sitting so long. My Pershing was that way.
