...you mean that timid player hidden in a cave all battle day on a WWII battlefield? LOL. Anyway, good luck against the usual commie foe; the 9 hit IR tank appropriate to the Sheridan's era, We all know the Sheridan isn't a tank, so IR fighting it seems a waste of build effort unless your into airborne surprise attacks in "Central America based battle games".

The sheridan is a tank though.

True a light tank shielded behind it’s official name “Armored Reconaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle”. Check it out...

I know a lady, a nice lady, who is wicked with her pz 3 on the battle field. She would thrash you with that Sheridan in short order.

With that said, there are still legions of purist Tamiya finish built rc model collectors around the world, so I am guessing there is at least an average “sell on” rc tank collector market for a new built Sheridan kit. As to IR dedicated RC tank fighters, probably little to no interest in adding a Sheridan to their fighting tank collectiion. The Sheridan RC model does look pretty cool though, “so I will build it just for fun”, IR optional. The Sheridan at the AAF Museum, argueably, isn’t all that expensive for a Tamiya RC armor kit.

I preordered mine already

BOTH. More tan a decade old and still running great, one a F/O Tamiya IR setup and the other a third party controller. They are FUN!

Pah co, OK, so what. I know a rascally 4 year old little girl who would physically kick your Abrams all to h*ll and gone and make you cry like a pretty sad tulip.

I do not see a barrel flash in the Sheridan Kit PR photos and kinda think the kit may not be battle unit capable.

Anyway, why would a WWII Pz3 and a Cold War Sheridan be on the same battlefield? FYI. Factually, a single RPG hit killed Sheridan’s by the dozens, reduced them to little puddles of aluminum with a steel turret atop during the VN Conflict.

The PZ3 L is a really cool IR tank and runs rings around heavy IR armor, just not for very long, LOL.

John.

I think on the clear spruce pictures it looks like there could be a clear piece for the end of the barrel which could mean barrel flash. Will wait to see video of this one running with all it’s features before I think about pulling the trigger. 8 months ago I got a great deal on Trumpeter 1/16 M1A2 Abrams kit so I picked it up as a donor for stuff for Tamiya kit. Didn’t expect another Tamiya full option for another year or two. Mr Tamiya can always hit one into left field when your waiting for it to go right. To borrow from Mr Forrest Gump , modelling “ is like a box of chocolates you never know what your going to get” oh and while I’m here how much would it have hurt to put the other 1/35th kit parts in and upscaled like rpg screen, engine mesh covers, full gunshield for commander, as seen in 1/35th kit and same decal options

Agree and kinda thought I was done building Tamiya kits. Also, aspects of the Tamiya Abrams kit did not meet the prior, higher component quality levels of past kits. Still fun to build and the build struggle resulted in a good running, nice looking Abrams model. Because the Sheridan is an armor vehicle from the Cold War, I’ll build it and hopefully the kit will include the important, life saving, VN field modifications.

Sure 3 hits and your out, but you can also paint the battlefield with IR every 3 seconds.

Yea, cause Tiger 1's en masse is accurate at every battlefield too. Accuracy is out the window for the most part. With IR battling try to do the best to keep it visually historic, but for the most part it's a battling platform that happens to be in a tank.

Default Sheridan vs Pz3; non sequitur, for sure.

To each their own. I like the historical aspect of the armor RC IR hobby.

AS much as I am into the Viet Nam war and have done re-enacting with some awesome era heros for the history channel, Im not into this LAV, AAV or Light tank what ever you want to call it. Im paying off a model train collection I was lucky enough to get and will take a break revisting some of my older builds that need some FMS time. Need to finish the M50 I put on hold for the M60a3 build, got a few shermans in boxes waiting to be cobbled together. But....Im thinking that DKLM Bradley or their early M60 with the round turret in a Maggach IDF format. I already know all the tricks for building an m60 so why not lol...... It just costs twice as much as any other tank out there.... Now its about quality and rarity over quantity. Unless Tamiya kicks out an M48, then Im all over that ****.

If that was part of the full option kit, it would be far more expensive than the Tamiya list price. You would never stop paying for the kit.

You 2 guys owe MiG and his beautiful wife an apology. They are master modelers, in case you did not know.

Looks like she probably beat cancer. He posted more than two years ago their tragic news and she looks in good health now.

Looks like she had brain surgery two years ago despite their first doctor saying it couldn't be removed.

Not a bad sized RC model. According to one website https://www.rccaraction.com/tamiya-u...sheridan-tank/ it measures out with a length: 408mm, width: 177mm, height: 186mm.

With my ruler that's close to the HVSS Sherman, about 2 inches longer.

I need one AND the M113 too.
