It's been a while since my last post…
Because of the underpowered track gear motor I'd to redesign the lower hull including a new mount for Mato gears. It's cramped but it works
Parts of the gear mounting…
…assembled.
I made a cut out at the lower hull (don't be afraid – that change is done at the available kit).
A short test to check space and assembling…
...and a short video of the first run with Mato gears:

It really looks great PLUS seeing it in action!

Why do you European guys and the Asain design guys like the mato gear boxes so much? I had a few sets of them and they were so sloppy with bad qc i was astonished. Taigen makes such a superior gear box.
I took a video of the mato box running and you could watch the gears wobble around on their axis horribly.
Other my opinion on Mato, awesome work. I know what its like to go back and redesign major parts to make things work. Nice job so far.
does the turret fit on a henglong sherman hole?

Usually the Mato gears are not sloppy, but maybe manufacturing quality fluctuates - also at Taigen or HL gears.
The big advantages of the Mato gears are the slim size at the drive axis (most of my tank models have very less space there) and the easy exchange of the axis itself for modification.

Because I´m preferring tanks that had large fightings to pass, this AMX-13 will be a fighter of the IDF while Six Day War in 1967.
The markings represents the 2nd tank (Hebrew ב) in the 3rd Platoon (number 3) of the 4th Company (chevron heading back) at the 2nd Battalion (2 strips around gun barrel) of the 37th Tank Brigade.

Love the IDF version, but I've always wanted an Egyptian AMX M4, will this be available as turret only?
Noticed that Ludwig has an IDF department in his online store now with a 1/16 Merkava, You have my interest ; )
