Ian

Nice tank, this was my first tank about 5 yrs. ago. Fiber optics are all ways a pain in the A**, but the older ones all have it. Hint, look into making a shim for the turret. It tends to sag from battery weight and the shim will help from it rubbing the deck top. I forget what forum it was on, but there is a nice one on how to do. A lot of write ups on turret issue.

You just keep going like the energizer rabbit.

Thanks for the heads up, I read about the sagging issue and of the multiple ways to deal with it the best one I saw was to add on a tab of plastic in the lower half and make a small notch in the upper half for that tab to click into which then resolves the sag by using the rigidity of the turret top to hold up the bottom, it was very cool.

Oh just an FYI he prefers being called a Bunny vs. a Rabbit, quite the prima donna if you ask me.....LOL

Default Tamiya Leopard 2A6 turret sagging issue.

Custom hinged lift deck.

“I read about the sagging issue and of the multiple ways to deal...”

I built the Leo 2 about a decade ago and still have it. Difficult to drive well, but a favorite. I opted for the Daryl B Turner solution to the potential turret sag, deck interference, rotation issues. Mr Turner moved the battery to the hull and designed and fabricated an amazing one off custom hinged lift deck system. A super bonus is easy battery swap outs, haha.

And building a second Abrams over the Sheridan.

Enjoy.

Default Speaker box answer.

The speaker is mounted to the deck forward and center in front of the large round vents. The speaker box was repurposed as a sushi storage container and is not used with the tank. The model is loud!

You are correct sir on the bunny. You are a busy camper! I see #10 on Sheridan is out. And still reply to every one. I figured you knew about the turret with all the upgrades you purchased, but thought I'd mention it.

Have good one.

I am sure that is effective, I just want to keep her innards as stock as possible, so I will just reinforce the turret.

Keep in mind with all the electronics in the turret, including battery

the tanks can run through wheel deep water without problems!
