Default Other source for Schumo-kits parts?

So where does everyone order Schumo-kits parts from in the US if ETOARMOR.COM is sold out of something? I normally try to buy everything I can from Robert at ETO as they are great to deal with.

Has anyone in the US ordered with success from Axel's ?

No problems for me. Also, eBay might have a few items from time to time also.

My understanding is that Axle's modelbau is the actual mfr of the schumo parts and they no longer wholesale them to other distributors in the world.
I had to order direct from Axle and shipping is costly to the US so I ordered like 4 shermans worth of parts for long projects lined up just to save alot on the multipule shipping orders.

I started etoarmor in 2003 to address the fast growing and poorly served in US tank hobby. After having to order several times from Schumo direct to obtain what I wanted, and back then Shumo's entire tank parts inventory would fit in two shoe boxes in multiples, I contacted Schumo about stocking their parts in US. They, and Eto, grew somewhat over the years. In the end Schumo, consisting of Axel and Berndt Schulze, and I had a gentlemen's agreement wherein they would send US customers to me to obtain parts and any inquiries I received from Europe were sent to Schumo. This agreement was not an absolute, there are customers who don't want to deal with me in US as there are customers who don't want to deal with Schumo in EU but both groups want the parts. Over the sixteen years, things change, life moves on. New blood came to Schumo and in the end Berndt Schulze left the firm two years ago. I am getting 'not young' and my health is reminding me of those decades. And of course then came the massive rise in Post costs, to be honest almost confiscatory, and we are where we are today.

I will continue to run Etoarmor for another ten years or so, then Daryl will take over if he wants. Eto will continue to make the finest transmissions available for our Tamiya tanks, IS 2 (JS 2) will be added today to the TU section, and I may branch out in to other makes. I can service the EU transmission market from here and shipping times in the end are roughly the same as if the kits came from US, and in the end shipping prices are roughly the same if not a little less. Eto will continue to stock the totally grand HennTec idler systems and I may squeeze Atak to get their heads back on straight and sell me their Zimmerit kits again at a reasonable price. If they do, they do, if they don't, they don't. As it looks now, with time Schumo will disappear from my site. Not a thing I can do, it is what it is.

Order from Axel's shipped August 12 still in USPS limbo.....why did I pay $36 for them to use DHL Parcel, when for less money the sellers in Hong Kong use DHL Express.

Probably the same reason it cost me $35 to get a padded envelope sent from the states when the same thing from the UK back to the states would be £5-7

So, basically, if you have any Schumo parts, hang on to them?

Tip.

Cannot help with finding the seemingly rare Schumo Leopard 2A6 parts, but AFV Model Shop is a good quality alternative.

The site is in German and English. Offering a variety of expensive and excellent after market Tamiya RC Leopard 2A6 parts, again at AFV Model Shop, Germany.

I don't see where to switch to English on the AFV site.

I have ordered from Impact before, good people, good products.
