Default Movie 'The Beast' will be on Wednesday...

For anyone who hasn't seen the movie 'The Beast' it will be on the Sony Movie Channel this Wednesday morning (June 10) at 3am (EST) so set up your DVRs. On Dish the Sony Movie channel is 386 but if you have cable check your listings.

I saw this movie in the early '90s (it was made in '88) and it's a really good 'tank movie'.

As long as we're on the subject of television, if you have access to a channel called Tubi ( I get it over the Internet through my DVD player) they have the complete series Strange Inheritance on demand and for free, which means that they have season 2 episode 1, the Littlefield collection. I watched it again last night and was surprised how much I had missed the first time I watched it.

Crius ---- Thanks for the heads up on the Strange Inheritance program about the Jacques Littlefield collection. I just watched it, and it really brought back memories of the times I was able to visit his collection with Tanque and other tank enthusiasts years ago. The program answered a lot of the questions I wondered about when his collection was disposed of.

It was an interesting show. It was nice seeing the Panther fully restored. I had only seen it partially restored in one of the tank restoration shows.

It seems like every time I watch that episode I learn something new, something I missed before. For example, I didn't know that he had two Prime movers, one 8 ton and one 12 ton, and the12-ton was the one used in the movie The Dirty Dozen. That one might still be at the museum with the rest of the collection because I know they sold the eight ton at auction, I think for a little over $1000000.
