Default Tank Keeps Cutting Out

My tank is consistently shutting off as if the power has been unplugged while moving or just on. I checked all of my wires and they all seem to be fine, can't find anywhere it might short circuit or be unplugged. I eventually switched the tamyia plugs to deans but it is still happening. Any of you experience this with your v3 electronics?

Is your battery OK?

I believe so. It is just a 3600 mah nimh battery. It is really purplexing me as i just do not know the cause. I checked all the wire and i cannot find any short circuits. Just was not sure if this was a regular thing for the v3 electronics or not.

Check the battery voltage using multimeter or try another battery. If it's OK, the board could be defective.

And do check the batteries in your transmitter not only for charge but check they are correctly positioned.

I have found older batteries, while they may have correct voltage, just brown out when called to power the tank, particularly when drive motors are activated.

Maybe gearbox or tracks are jammed? Jammed wheel or gear could fry the board.

I'd suspect the battery. If the model runs reasonably normally up to the point when it just cuts out I'd strongly suspect battery.
The way most of the model special effects systems operate is when the battery drops below a certain power level the model just stops. I'd suspect charger first and battery second. See if you might be able to borrow a better charger and battery or at least see if someone could lend you a fully charged battery that is known to be a reliable one.

The trick to diagnosing such problems is to establish a point of reference usually with components of known ability to
be able to eliminate one variable after another. Without that it's a tough assignment...

Good luck.

I wouldn't have thought the problem was the battery if the guys above hadn't explained

Did you ever locate the problem, is it working now?
