Anyone have any idea why the 1/16 Henglong stug 3 ausf g has a fender headlight? I have not found reference in any stugs or variants that ever had a fender headlight? Can someone let me know if I’m wrong? It also has the notec light on the front, is that accurate as well? Every other aspect(for the most part) seems somewhat accurate, why would they put that big ugly headlight on there? What did these stugs really use as headlights?

The last Stug 111 to carry a Notec light was the Ausf F 6/7 neither the Stug 111 Ausf F8 or the Stug 111 Ausf G, had headlights or a Notec light.

Stug III Ausf F8s and Ausf Gs had a Notek mounted on the center of the glacis.

I think there are few more annoying answers than a half right one which I gave,
Distracted by the Postie knocking is my lame excuse.

Yes I noticed that notec should be correct as shown, but I don’t know why that headlight is there, even the early stugs that had headlights there, looked nothing like this, it draws it away from a hobby grade tank(which is basically what it is with some upgrades) to almost kids toy status. I just wanted opinions before I cut it off, fill it and transfer led over to notec.

Cut the light off, sand it flat, get yourself some Aber PP03 brass photo etch sheets to cover over and it fixes the issue.

The sheets are listed as 1/35 scale but are exactly the same size as the anti skid pattern on Panzer III and Stug III vehicles.
