If logistics remain as they are & at this point its not looking good for Q4, then think 4-5 months before you see them in your neck of the woods.

If HEC hadn't been cancelled, I'd have mine next week so will let you know once they are selling locally.

Shipping is absolutely terrible right now. It is not fun at all. I had an almost 2 hour long shipping meeting yesterday with some vendors trying to alleviate some issues we are having too. Between increased costs, transit times, and now availability it is making things a lot more difficult.

Tracking has been totally screwed up as well. Some of the items I bought on eBay recently, when I checked tracking I clicked on show shipping details and nothing comes up. The box switches over to hide shipping details but it didn't show me any shipping details to hide. Not a huge problem, just take the tracking number and go to the carrier's website to get the info, but still, it's kind of a pain in the butt.

Default KV-2 Headed My Way

Since HEC was canceled, HL decided to put their initial run of 20 slated local sale up on their T-Mall store today at 2000 sharp & I scored one before they sold out in a matter of minutes. I got their top end with all metal upgrades including bearings & it had better show up Monday with a half-naked KTV hostess at this price.

Ain't that description "Super large electric military model boy toy car" cute!

Did they actually make an MFU for it? Or is this the KV-2 variant with the turbine engine?

Also don’t forget to modify the turret so that it only works when level like the real deal. A kv85 would’ve been so much better, not nearly as stupid looking.

KV2 looks like something built by the A-Team.

My contact told me that some factories are only working 3 day weeks due to interruptions of the electricity supply.

No idea but guess I'll find out soon enough. Understand they've heard the complaints.

Noted what you mean by the A Team. Just got a Jagdpather Pro & somebody at the factory was asleep when they installed the springs since it completely bottomed out. Just fixed that today thanks to an aftermarket source since HL had no clue or, more likely, didn't care to handle. That & the KV are for my kids to play with so not too concerned over proper turret use.

Not a big deal overall given what we've all been facing between typhoon port closings & the like. Am sure Erik understands that logistics will be the main challenge now into Q2 next year so best be patient & be prepared to pay that extra S&H. Ocean freight is close to 5x what is was early 2020 so bend over folks.

Heard that. Am looking at that & the SU-152 later after I get the new Warprints Cromwell ordered & into my grubby little hands for a winter project. Time to get a KV-1 & put it aside while dealer stocks are in good supply since these conversion kits out of Russia are sweet.

The great part about the KVs from HL and Taigen is that they are great runners. I've had no track issues with my Taigen KV lower hulls shod with metal tracks unlike my Shermans. The KV tracks seem to be pretty reliable.

This exactly. Freight is insane atm. We just had a container pushed back a few weeks too which has some tanks and HG trucks on it. Prices are "expected to start" normalizing I was told after Xmas but I'll believe it when I see it. I don't think we are going to see a huge decrease in costs to even what it was a few months ago much less before Covid. I think honestly we are going to be dealing with shipping issues for a while. The tankers and ships have only got bigger over the years and until we work on our ports and expanding our capability to process multiple ships at the same time I believe this will be a weak link in the chain.

They are a KV-1S, a KV-122, and an SU-152 from left to right respectively. He also makes a KV-85 which is a slightly modified IS-2 turret on a KV-1S hull using an 85mm gun.

Default Artem Red Army Kits

Yes Artem makes some nice kits & I see he has started posting on this forum so wait until you see some of the finer details. His kits replace the upper hull of a HL or Taigen KV-1 with slight mods needed to the rear of the HL so its basically a plug & play operation.

You are slightly mistaken. Three types of towers were installed on the JS-2. The earliest is the tower from KV-85. This turret was developed for the JS-1 tank. An 85mm D-5T cannon was installed in it. A 122 mm D-25T cannon was installed in the JS-2.

From the Henglong KV-2. You can make a KV-2 with additional armor on the turret . I have copies of the factory drawing for this modification

I was referring to the picture posted in this thread with the three vehicles. I made no mention of all the different turret options for the development of the KV and IS tanks.

So dose Artem have a web site to buy these conversions?
