Greetings to all. I received an order to build a fully finished model on the Taigen chassis. I will try to display the whole process in this topic

Thanks for sharing Artem!

The first point will be the installation and configuration of the gearbox. Now the chassis is completely disassembled, so I installed a gearbox in the chassis from the SU-152.

I started working on the chassis. The first item is a complete disassembly and defect. Immediately replace 2 balancers and 4 torsion holders. After that, I lubricate all the screws of the brackets with loctite

Nice!

Very nice and moves/sounds great. Did you make the gearboxes? If you do are they for sale and for which tanks?

Actually I'm interested in both! Lol. I plan (now that you offer for the Taigen KV-1) to do a Taigen KV- lower hull with your gearboxes and a upper SU-152 if possible and then later get your gearboxes for a Tamiya IS-2. I hope. 😁 At one point I had a El Mod SU-152 with Tamiya lower hull...

From what I've seen it's actually easier to build an SU-152 on a Taigen metal hull than a Tamiya lower. The rear of the SU is lower than that of a standard KV-1 so it can interfere with the way the Tamiya hull is built if you angle the engine deck like it should be.

I got the chassis from painting. Started the assembly. Be sure to lubricate all elements of the chassis. I put my gearboxes, the supports of the output shaft. After that, I checked the driving characteristics

As a resume . The quality of Taigen has become even lower. Replaced three balancers, two sloth tensioners, three torsion bars. It took three months to make the model, I used early wheels, tracks from JS-2 taigen, driving wheels HengLong. The turret has a recoil and lifting on the servo, IR battle system. Rc module - DK TANK

We discontinued the KV series tanks here in the US due to that same issue. The factory was unable to provide a long term fix and as such I personally made the call to discontinue them here. This doesn't stop other vendors from ordering even if there is a known issue so unfortunately I can't help there
I know I'm far away but if you need a few (or a bunch) let me know through the site and I'll do what I can about sending a few over. Luckily all the tanks that use torsion bars use the same ones: T1/ST/KV/Panther/KT and if you order some for any of those tanks it should fit the KV.
