The Haya tensioner mounts are actually kinda complicated as in the way the mount to the hull. Probably not easily adapted to another application. There are mounting screws inside the hull and outside the hull.

Yes, that's right. There is no official release date. However, in the FaceBook video, he says this Centurion tank MK3 will be available in December(Maybe around Christmas).
He also says that the production of this tank began in February of this year.

Interesting development, but don't like the mantlet cover solution. Also wondering why it took 50 & 49 years respectively since the 1/35 (1971) & 1/25 (1972) scale models were released?
Just had a look at the HAYA site & saw these -
Pixie suited crew for both Cent & early Chieftain - https://www.hayaltd.co.uk/Haya_116_B..._21481944.aspx -
Had wondered if Tamiya would produce crew figures, not a concern now. Archer eye decals might be appropriate here?

Looks like a 3D printed prototype of the Haya Cent. I can see some of the print lines.

If it’s got way more detail than the Tamiya than it might be that 3d resin material like my Merkava from Hooben. Insane amount of detail, seriously. But super brittle and fragile, and imho, too delicate for an RC model especially for people used to handling and driving Tamiya or henglong and taigen.
my m60 is is made of similar material from DKlM and I’m used to driving it now after breaking it a few times.

I would agree that the 3D printed version is probably for prototyping. The Chieftain is not 3D printed and I don't believe the Cent is supposed to be either.

Some lovely details of the prototypical Horstmann suspension and drivetrain, a Pershing style outdrive seems very likely:
Sheridan-style gearboxes:
Sheridan-style electronics

With a chance, the kits will be available in mid-January, but at the latest by the middle of march.

They’ve also shown they don’t really care too much about accuracy with tanks like the Super Sherman just to minimize the amount of parts needed to put out a new model.
IMHO the most unique tank is probably the Leopard in that respect. It only shares its gearboxes with the Abrams and the Type 10, it’s electronics are bespoke.
But regardless of simplification, Tamiyas remain a solid base from which to customise the specific tank you want to model.

Modelsport in the UK has it up on their website as the due date. Their hull & suspension set up does look good, I wonder if there'll be space to fit functioning dampers in the 1st & 3rd bogies?
