Someone I know posted this on a FB page I manage. The post was in reference to relative speed of models. This video
is of a 1/10 Maier Panther which is running electric power- how it was done I have no idea.

Clearly it took a hit in it's electronic controls or there was a Firefly hidden in the bushes somewhere nearby...

Apart from the breakdown, this model drives beautifully.

Sounds like battery exploded. Nice model though!

I believe he, the operator of the Panther said the speed control took a hit. I asked the question which speed control he used
that couldn't manage the model. Appears that when he was doing a slow turn in the foliage the load was too great. Not a recommendation
for that brand of control. An empty Maier Panther weighs in around 17-18kg. The glow engine- transmission adds another 8-10kg but
I don't know that this one had the transmission part as it's electric powered- I've seen most conversions simply use twin electric motors.
The other clue was since the original transmission runs in an oil bath it isn't that noisy or shouldn't be.

Yea that definitely sounded like an ESC pop. At least he was lucky and it only let the magic smoke out instead of the flames!
