Default My MUTT

Mobile Unit Tactical Tank, or MUTT, is my fevered brain idea for a Rapid Deployment Force Light Tank for use against invading enemy armor. Highly sloped light armor similar to the ideas behind the T92 prototype and HSTV-L. It's also my MUTT because it's made up of bits and pieces of STUG, M1A2, Bulldog and T90 parts. Go ahead and laugh!

The HSTV (I believe) was the inspiration for the Mauler MBT in G.I. Joe, and one of my childhood favorites.

Your creation is quite cool, and has a bit of a sci-fi vibe to it. Constructive input I would give is add some greeblies, raised panels, some form of headlight or blackout lights, grills/grates, fluid fill ports.

you have a very interesting blank canvas for some really cool outcomes.

Check out some of Adam Savage's scratch building vids on youtube for some inspiration.

Having fun with some “out of the box” thinking!!! I like the direction you are heading.

Thanks fellas! I'm novice level, working on it a little at a time. First time really modeling with styrene ever. Been watching some of Adam's videos for ideas. I did check out the STRV, it is very cool. Not sure how to model the hydraulic suspension though? Much easier to have gun elevation! It runs and drives around my yard great with the M41 tracks, sprockets and idlers. I just had to offset the Stug return rollers about 3 mm and remove the shocks and drive housings for the deeper sprockets.
