Trying out a different turret rotation method.. I think I'm jsut goinna modify a Tamiya ball ring. That unit is specifically for the Flakpanzer Gepard... if I ever get back to it.



Whatever goes in there, needs to be strong. that's a lotta barrel...

Progress.. harvested details from my donor K-T.




Not done yet...





I'm not sure how to get the nice, clean triangle look I'm after. I should have opened them up bvefore I glued the mantlet halves together.




I know they look a little crooked.. but I'm sure they aren't. AT least they won't be when I'm done...





There's a long-ass, heavy gun barrel I have to counterbalance somehow. I foresee a big metal gear servo in there for elevation.

Next step is to figure out turret rotation.. Ithought I had a solution, but it's not going to work. Not without major modifications, anyway. So on to the next idea. Having the turret just scrape on the upper hull won't work, I think.

It's a pretty imposing vehicle sitting on its wheels. Still waiting on one track adjuster, or I'd have both on and be setting up for some driving trials.
