Default anyone have the whole set of 1/16 HL tanks.

Just wondering if anyone has collected the whole set of 1/16 scale HL tanks.I'm not even sure how many they make, but would like to know.I,m going to buy two or three more and I'm selling my ( HO train set ) and if I get half the money out of it I got in it,might just buy most of the HL's for a collection and to play with.Nice thing about tanks they don't take up a lot of room like most of my other toys. I believe I have the whole set of 1/16 scale HL tanks: Tiger I (both versions), Panther, Walker Bulldog, Pershing, Panzer III (both versions). What other tanks do they make?

That is what I was wondering, how many different models are there. And it is very clear, every one says to get the S&S models. There is not very much difference in the price, but all say big difference in everthing else.I will find out soon.If anyone knows all the models,it would be very helpfull to an old guy with limited computer skills. Thanks---BIGMIG

Well if i got it right from Richard, there are seven models.I'v already got two,so for a little less than $400.00 I could have them all.Thats not bad for a whole collection.I am confussed though with some of the other names that seem to be assoiciated with the henglong name.Like OEM henglong---Am i getting things mixed up here?? are there different manufactures using the same HL name.I'm confussed?? Don't forget the Sturmtiger - when my mato order shows up I will have them all. Also you have to think of the conversions, turning the Panther's into Jagd Panthers, pz III's into Stugs and such.

The Sturmtiger is not really an HL. It's more of a Matorro.

Your Snow Leopard is an HL tank. Flip the tank over, and you should see the words "Heng Long" stamped on the bottom of the hull.

Technically there are 19 different versions of the Heng Long tanks.

You have the grey Tiger I, camouflaged Tiger I and yellow Tiger I in regular and smoke and sound. That's 6. The Snow Leopard (Pershing) and Walker Bulldog come in both versions. 4 more. The Panther comes in 3 different camouflage patterns and 2 of them I've seen offered in smoke and sound, thats 5. The little PZIII comes in grey and yellow in both versions for 4.

My first tank a Pershing was non-smoke, the Panther and 3 Tigers were also non-smoke. Everything smokes now!

Now that was a good explination. There is not that many to have one of each. There is several different variations of the same tank.Mostly color and S&S verse's non S&S. BIGMIG

They did a Sherman and a Pershing in 1/30 scale. I have never seen them run. Probably weak 2 speed electronics. They might be improved by using the S&S upgrade if you could fit it in the tank?

I have all S&S versions, but did not get the Panther, as it seemed like too much work to even get it to even closely resemble the real Panther. A couple of guys have done a real good job of improving it, but there is not much you can do about the width.

Default RE: anyone have the whole set of 1/16 HL tanks.

bottom left is the 1;6 scale M-5A1 stuart. Waiting for my set of new correct tracks, then it will be pretty much authentic. Both the stuart and Abrams have a mini cam mounted. It's a lot of fun chasing kids around the museum when they have no idea who is controlling the tank. I had them all on display at Danville and James gave me the Abrams to use with the museum. The Century 21 tanks I have converted to various models to display how they were used. Took the 75 howitzer out of one Pz IV, mounted a plate, dummy gun and frame antenna to make a Befehlspanzer (command tank) made a breech and mounted the howitzer in a half track. Just converted my first Pz III to a J model.
