Default Drilling for TBU LED on TAM Pershing

I had the LED mounted on the barrel....kind of looked like a search light. Now my question can I drill out the port to the right of the barrel and place it there...kind of like the tiger.

I was just about ready to drill...thought I'd better get help!!

THanks in advance

Dennis

Dennis,

It can be done. It has been a while since I did mine. If I remember correctly, the Pershing wasn't too bad. It was the Sherman where I had to hack a lot out to make room, and add a brass tube to get the proper depth for the emitter. Attached is a line of of my tanks from a few years ago. You can see the stock Tiger on the left, my modified Pershing in the middle, and the Sherman with the brass tube on the right. I will keep digging and see if I can come up with any picts of the inside.
