That's a lot of work. It's a late M4A3 with the late cupola and oval loader's hatch. Different rear plate, engine deck, mantlet, gun and VVSS then Tamiya M4. A challenging and great project!

I was first going to do that with my first Sherman too, but the suspension kind of killed it for me. Not that I'm a rivet counter or anything. I even planned to use a Radio Shack recordable sound board and a loudspeaker attached to the tank playing "Burning Bridges", but back then it was a lot of work.

It can be done and hope to see yours real soon!

Oddball: The only way I got to keep them Tigers busy is to LET THEM SHOOT HOLES IN ME!

FYI this is a post war Yugoslavian version of the Sherman. It was based on the M4A3 with a 76mm gun in the old 75mm Turret. Steel Chevron Tracks. I saw a model of it done by James Welschler ant the IPMS nationals.

Shouldn't be too hard to copy this tank. There an M34A1 gun and mantlet available and you'll need the A3 engine components. The only thing that won't look right is the HVSS.

Just get it all here:

http://www.imperial-modellbau.de/shop/index2.htm

Andy's great to work with. Personally, if it doesn't have the narrower tracks I wouldn't bother with the VVSS covers. Just my opinion.

And wacky ... go build a tank!

I've seen them fashioned out of those little plastic cups that dispense liquid medicine to children and adults, like Vicks 44.

I believe you're talking about Jimmy Flintstone --some of his 1/16 resin figures are also sold under the "Testor's" name. When I last looked he had a "Klink" and "Schultz" from Hogan's Heros up for auction on "That" Site. He actually makes an "Oddball" figure in 1/16 scale....It's the last item on this Page:

Here's a (blurry) picture of Jimmy Flintstone's 1/16 scale "Wounded Russian Tanker with Nurse:"
