WOW look at that, you must be sensible - you removed your offensive comment. Man, it must really rock to be as immature as you, going on the offensive over something so daft...

No, I just didn't want to give you to much credit.
Hey, enjoy your knock-off toys.
The history is recorded, now, on the military establishment from that era, bad dudes all. Even the sailors.
You might want to read some of it someday, too.

pcomm1 I happen to belong to a Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery re-enacting unit. As for being a Nazi well a sailor was no more a Nazi than a tanker. So are all german tanks Nazi tanks? People build german tanks then drap swastika flags on them so they must be Nazi tanks

well the ss tunics were the same color as the army and navy field uniforms. But the colors varied from manufacturer to manufacturer and from different dye lots. There is one hard fast field grey color. Like I said it varied. Also depended whether it was an m36, m40, m43, and m44. As the war progressed they started useing salvaged wool stocks. I'll look for a picture showing the different shades and post it here

here are several pics of both Heer and SS tunics in field grey as well as officers tunics. You can see the color varied from year to year as well as changes to the tunics, like color of the collar, number of front buttons, pocket pleats. SS tunics were very similar to Heer tunics except they only have 2 belt hook holes where the Heer had 3.

Also the piping on the shoulder straps varied depending on the branch of service. White-infantry, Red-artillery, Lemon yellow-signals, Gold yellow-calvary, etc

so as long as you are close to those colors you are fine. M36= 1936, M40=1940 and so on. So if you are doing an early era you can't use a late pattern tunic.

Whilst theres plenty I've love to say to you, I, unlike you, won't say it here. If ignorance is bliss, you must live a very happy life...

Oh, by the way I don't peddle anything. I think you're just pissed you've invested so much in something which can be essentially bought for much, much less. Nuf said, KKTHXBYE

Hello

First, thank You Pzrwest from those tunica-pictures, I needed those too.

Only extra question concern tankers black uniforms. Was they like those grey but dyet with black or where there some extra modification too?

Oh, and when those camo-tunicas comes in to the picture?

I would like to get inwolved into that flaming war, but I step back and take deep breath.

Yours,

RR
