I can't wait for the the new HL Jagdpanther. I only have the one HL tank (the STUGIII) so I can't comment on the other HL tanks which apparently had their deficencies but the Stug has been great. I guess if I was mainly interested in the electronics , sounds , realistic motion and so on I could justify the expense of the Tamiya. Also, for the cost of a Tamiya it burns my butt that I have to assemble the whole thing. For appearance I have been thrilled with my HL Stug. Sure, the paint is lame but a little paint, weathering, airbrushing and it cleans up just fine.

That is one very, very nice Stug you've done. Excellent job and thanks for sharing!

RE: Coming soon - Jagdpanther from Henglong
Thanks! Constantly finding things wrong with it that I did not do quite historically correct and this and that. Keep adding one thing taking away another. The tank itself has been just fine, however.Hope I find a new project soon before I completely botch it up. I would love to see a really well done Tamiya just to see the differences in quality. Just hard to see the diffrences in the pictures. Unfortunately I live in the middle of nowhere so short of going to a hobby show in a large city I guess I will never know for sure until I finally pony up the $800.00. Not to change the subject, but are there any good shows featuring 1/16 tanks?

RCCOMMAND,
Thanks for selling the HL tanks at an affordable price. I have a Tiger I and a King Tiger and like them both and have had a lot of fun with them. Spending $500+ on an RC tank is not even an option for me.

Very nice. I really dig Stug's. I'll have too do one one of these days. Too many projects going at the moment, with so many other temptations. Damn this hobby. LOL

tankfan, the whole thing with Tamiya is that they are ACTUAL models hence the need too assemble them. To some people, myself included the building process is agreat % of the fun. But for those that want to Run OTB the HL's cant be beat.

Yes, the plan is to do a Stug IV. Don't know timelines, sorry.
Jagdpanther should be ready in one month. Yes, I've said that before but just got this update.

Is it an ausf G? Looks like it has the crew heater fan fitted. Be nice to get one off santa but she's bought me a Panzer IV and metal tracks already. This means I'm going to have to be pleasant to the mother in law for a few weeks and see what that brings.

Yes, it has the crew compartment heater fitted, and the late model flame supressor sleeves on the exhausts.
Cheers

Bill - any info as to versions? I see Airsoft or IR; how about Super Series (tracks, battery)? What about color choices - all the camo, or differences? Whatever you can tease us with....

Don't mind if I OT a bit.
Judging from the new trend of turretless tanks coming into the scene, I wonder if Heng Long is still interested to come out tanks with rotating turrets in the future, or is the Panzer IV the last of its kind for a long while to come. Any idea?

don't get me wrong. It deffinately is HL's best looking tank too date. I just preffer too paint them myself. They are a little too Spit and Pollish straight out of the box for me. My paint jobs are in no way award winning paint jobs, but i like too do it and the more you do , the better you get at it.
