Looks to me that some ambush spots and some weathering would result in one good looking machine!

One negative thing - if one wanted to repaint completely, the factory paint might show it's seams, where the paint went over another color, or the boundary between the bare plastic and the wavy paint lines....hmmm, you might have to strip it first.

RE: Coming soon - Jagdpanther from Henglong
You shouldn't have too strip the whole thing. a good primer will prevent the underlying paint from bleeding through. It should be primed if you are going to repaint because the factory paint looks to me to be sealed, so you need to prime so the paint will adhere properly.

A good coat of primer also makes the tank much easier to paint - before I started applying a coat of red oxide from a rattle can it would take 3 seperate coats to cover a HL tank. With a base coat of primer I can do the entire tank in a single coat with acrylic using my airbrush.

So, Pete[971Wright]: you said you saw a PK III with IR for sale......you still haven't shared where. Was this just a false alarm?

RCCOMMAND,
Thanks for selling the HL tanks at an affordable price. I have a Tiger I and a King Tiger and like them both and have had a lot of fun with them. Spending $500+ on an RC tank is not even an option for me.

Bill - any info as to versions? I see Airsoft or IR; how about Super Series (tracks, battery)? What about color choices - all the camo, or differences? Whatever you can tease us with....

I've been told that both IR and airsoft will be available at time of release. Also, both the gray/blue and camo paint schemes will be available. They will all have 7.2v 2000mah nimh batteries and metal gearboxes. Plain metal tracks as well as black tracks will also be available as options to purchase.
Thanks,
Bill

Boy it would be great if HL would redo the Panther. The Jagd looks so good enven though it isn't 100% accurate it looks leaps and bounds better than the PanTiger. If they go with an all IR system then they could get the turret dimentions more proportional with out the airsoft unit. I really hope they try. But I'll settle for a Comet. LOL.

Well I need at least 3, one gray, one camo and one for my USA contact for painting in Ambush. Please do not snap them all up just because I am 16,000 klms away downunder.

After looking over those pictures again, I think this is a jewel of a tank that HL is offering here.
The wait will be more than worth it!

Hi Bill ARE WE NEARLY THERE YET
I had a call with HL on Monday and they were unable to offer a firm date but I do honestly think it will be much, much sooner than posted in an earlier post.
