Default First Zimm job

Well before I started to apply zimmerit to my Tamiya Tiger I wanted to practice on my HL Tiger. This is my first try ever attempting to do this and I think I did pretty well. Now before I do this to the Tamiya one I want your opinions on what I should fix. I know the mantlet is upside down but I will leave it as it is.

Here it is:

My Brother!! Wow I think that is tops!!!! The only tiny thing is in my opinion it is a bit too wide. I could be wrong. Too Wide or not that is one beaut.... of a job!

Hey next time you want to practise let me know....lol I have a tiger that needs a treatment.

Hey one other thing. Where in the world did you get that shade of primer?

Thanks a lot guys!!! your replies really makes me feel cozy inside .

@Torpedochief
I also think it is a bit too wide but I didnt have any other gear that was the right size. I got the primer at my Local Lowe's.

Heres the primer I used and the tool I used to make the rows.

SoulAssassin,
The zimmerit looks awesome, especially for a first attempt! [sm=thumbup.gif] I like the primer color too. I'm going to have to get some and give it a try. One question... where did you get the gear that you used for your tool?

Chiliper

I got the gear from the gearbox that came with the Tamiya kit since I upgraded to Impact's TUs. Then I twisted a clothes hangar and Voila!!!!

Wow, that is nasty fine! I've my HL Tigger I on the workbench right now and thinking of trying this. Thanks for the moto, Assassin! For primer you can also use Krylon Ruddy Brown. Pretty inexpensive to boot!

Simple and effective... very nice...

How do you like the Impact TU's? I have a set for a future KT build, but haven't tried them yet.

I haven't really tried them on tough terrain just around the house but they do feel sturdy. I just need to upgrade the motors and it'll be good.
