I have a Stuart with chopped side skirts, but the battery charger doesn't work anymore... and I only got to drive it outside once (that was maybe 3-4 years ago). It's just taking up space if anyone local (So-Cal) is interested.. *hint, hint*

Well, I don't "have" to get rid of it, but thought that someone else might be able to do something with it instead of it just collecting layers of dust in my apartment. I wanted to only deal locally though if anyone was interested, because of the size.
Here it is after I unboxed it.. still with the skirts, for size reference.

RE: 21st Century STUART Tank 1/6 Scale
In need of help with finding a parts for my recent find at a local swapmeet. It'sa 1/6 scale R/c stuart with remote but missing it's main gun barrel. It also had a broken front wheel gear so I fixed that by putting a brass sleeve over the shaft. Loooks like this is a weak spot for this tanks. anyway, If anyone has this part that I'm looking for please shoot am an email or a source site where I can get one. Also need a .30 cal. or .50 cal machine gun. thanks. Price was a steal also at $35!

RE: 21st Century STUART Tank 1/6 Scale
My question is if I bought a NON RC version, could I use the rubber stype tracks since they appear to be the correct tracks?
Also do you think swapping the turrets would get my the tubs I need for inside the turret?
I have a chance to jump on one these in Cincinnati for $50 and it's looks brand new!!!!
Or could be this be a RC project conversion??
Mark

RE: 21st Century STUART Tank 1/6 Scale
Good morning all,
The 1/6 Stuart was my second experience with RC tanks (my first was a Radio Shack Abrams that I still have) about seven years or so ago. I bought one and thought it was pretty cool. The main thing I didn't like was the speeds were stop and go! Nothing in between.
Shortly after I bought mine, Wal Mart had a closeout sale on them, and I bought a bunch at a good price from my local Wal Mart. I tried selling them on Ebay, but the shipping killed me and the buyers. No matter how I packed them, they were oversized for UPS. So, I took one apart and started selling parts on Ebay. They went like the proverbial hotcakes! I was making a profit and packing was easy when selling parts only. I parted all my Stuarts except the one I kept, and then a bunch of guys started doing the same on Ebay, parting them out. So, I quit selling.
When I moved from Tucson to Arkansas, the Stuart was just too big to deal with, so I gave it away to a friend's kid.
What I remember most abut the Stuart was the response I got when I starting parting them out and selling on Ebay. I thought I'd be rich.
With a few improvements, the Stuart would be a nice tank.
See ya,
Howie

RE: 21st Century STUART Tank 1/6 Scale
i would consider trading mine for a 1:16th scale tank. i would prefer a local trade, but might be able to swing delivery. it runs as is but has a issue with radio range. i im not sure what us with the range but it cuts out around 10 feet or so. also its right drive sprocket is missing but it has one made out of wood and it drives it perfectly. i could either be fixed up for general use or used for parts. i water-proofed the electronics so it can go in water without a hitch, the speaker is disconected because it drove me nuts but could be easily re connected by connecting the speaker wires. if anyone is interested PM me
