Default My Tiger 1 keeps throwing treads!

Before I start my rant, yes i tried the search!

my tiger 1 keeps throwing treads. it seems that the drive wheels skip or something and the treads start to come off and slide outwards. not sure if this is from driving straight or from doing turns. I got the plastic tracks and drive wheel back on and drove it a bit in the house today and it managed to throw them!

so any advise or quick fix for this?

also it is more the left hand side then the right to throw first.

Make sure all the road wheels and idlers are lined up together.

Wow where do i start , Tracks to loose , more likely to much movement on the drive sproket- does it move when wiggled with yoiur hand. Make sure you have no loose track pins. There will be a reason as they dont throw tracks for no reason. the fix for loose drive sproket is to look closely at your gearbox , it can be tightened up there or you can add a piece of aluminium on the outside of the hull with a 8mm hole in it for the drive shaft, screw or glue it on after popping off the fake gear cover on the outside . i had the same prob wuth mine with late steel wheels. i had to move the gear boxes out a couple mm buy just using a drill to enlarge the mounting holes and re tightening them.

Tracks to loose - define too loose lol. sitting relaxed the treads start to lift off the road wheels at the 4th one from the front.

more likely to much movement on the drive sproket- does it move when wiggled with your hand. - very minimal movement. no loose screws.

Make sure you have no loose track pins. - all tight as can be sir!

- I think i might have to shim up the forward part of the gear box. drive might be off a bit making it roll to the outside.

well that gives me a good reason to pop it open right? lol
