In other words if they built them for the Port side of the Tank with the Damper oil reservoirs at the right of centre. Then when mounted on the Starboard side the oil reservoirs would still be right of centre when viewed from the Starboard side.
In other words the oil reservoirs are at the rear of the Bogie assembly on the Port side and at the front of the Bogie assembly on the Starboard side of the Tank.

German tankers, especially the SS would not have enjoyed much. Like the Apaches, many captured Germans were turned over to the women, who knew how to make life unpleasant. Many became track pads.
These figures are neat and add a bit if interest on displays. Not very difficult to repaint. Mixing the proper colors is the worst and maintaining the 3 bristle brushes. Russian women tank crews would be interesting.

Hi Gents,
Just to clarify the ambiguous. The written word sometimes doesn't always convey one's thoughts.
So I thought I would post some archive Sherm pic's to help clear things up.

YHR,
I see you covered the airsoft holes in your gun tube. Does the airsoft still work? I was thinking of doing the same, but want to be able to shoot.

I have not got the airsoft hooked up. I am waiting on another recoil unit, and am going to wire that in instead. The sleeve I added is not glued on, so it does not provide an airtight seal. IT may allow enough air past it to break the vacuum effect.

YHR,
What was the length of the barrel sleeve you used to cover the airsoft holes? I'am in the process of using the old barrel and plan on drilling a hole in the the sleeve, aligne that with one of the airsoft holes and position it on the bottom. Should work just like a H and L airsoft. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't drill a hole in the sleeve just yet. Try it without a hole and see what happens. Bore the sleeve so it does not fit snug, this will give a path for air to move between the bbl and the sleeve. As long as there is no seal I don't think a vacuum will be created in the bbl that will impede the velocity of the airsoft pellet.

YHR,
To late, I have already done so. It does work just as good ( the airsoft that is ) as without. I used the end of the barrel after taking about 1/4 inch off for the molded end. I then took a small piece of styrene to wrap the barrel sleeve as you had molded with your wood spool. I hope to post some pics to see what you think. Thanks.

Here's the last of them. TC's view is getting a lot of cute remarks. All I need now is to putty and paint the TC's movable arm slots and some touch up on the girls. When I locate a Tammy Sherman turret, I will be building an Israeli early M-1.

Timslocum,
Here are a couple pics of my barrel tube mod. I used the original plastic barrel. First cut off about 1/4 inch off the end of the plastic barrel. Test if it slips over the metal airsoft barrel, if not, take a little more off until it does. I eyeballed YHR's pics and made my cut ( mine measures 11/16 of an inch). I cleaned up and trued the ends. On the mantlet side, I took a piece of scrape styrene to made the ring ( be carefull, there is a slight taper on the plastic barrel and if you do it backwards it will show. I'm speaking from experience). After that, I held it in place alongside the metal airsoft barrel, I marked and drilled the airsoft vent hole. Turn your metal barrel so the vent tubes are up and down. Slide the sleeve on upside down( hole up) ensure it alignes with the metal vent hole. Once satisfied, turn it so the hole is on the bottom and tack glue in place ( that's so if a better tube comes along, it won't be to hard to remove). I used a a bamboo bar-b que skewer to aligne the bottom hole with the sleeve. Hope this helps and my instructions are not to confusing.
