Default Some general Heng Long Panzer III questions

Hi,

Ijust treated myself to a Heng Long Panzer III.Ihad a few questions to make sure Idon't break it within a week

Is this a good position for the battery? The lid closes without having to force it, but the cable between the tank and the battery seems a little bit stretched.

Charging time: the manual says seven hours and the internet can't agree on a time. How long do you charge your battery for?

Is the commander supposed to look like he's rapping, or do Ineed to open up the bottom of the turret to place him?(Am Ieven supposed to touch the bottom of the turret?)

Any and all tips from Panzer IIIowners are greatly appreciated!

yeah a good thing to is open the tank and the pwoer cables to the battery have a knot in them so its best to undo that knot to get it more length
and i charge mine around 6hours, and thats give usally more than an hour.
haha yeah commander is a bit tall :/ as hes designed for the tiger, so you can chop a few mm off to get him to the right height (Y)

I think I'm too scared/new to actually open it up for now (it's kind of like your first day on the job... you don't want to mess up ); however, I'll have a good look inside soon - and undo that knot!

Cool, thanks!

He's going to have to suffer then... Poor guy.

The Panzer III is a perfect first tank. Beautiful molding and a really smooth runner. Hope you both enjoy your new toys.

charge length is:

(battery capacity X 1.2) / charger mah output = charge length in hours

you have about the same weather we have here. out side in the cold the batteries loose power fast because the snow brushes right up against the bat hatch.

I think this is the first real-life application of the technology lessons in school when Iwas 12 (and never paid attention to)! I think this is also the first time I've actually been happy to know a mathematical equation

With the charger Ihave it comes to 5.1 hours. Michelekingtiger was scarily close.

Thanks guys

Hi

Yes the P III is a good choice

I have had my P III for about two years with almost no problems.

and if you want you can take the P III top off and put on a StuG III top.

but you may need to upgrade the main board

and there are loads of Metal parts to upgrade

so it is a good choice for your first 1/16 RC tank
