1/16 water shooting Lav-25??
Now I know this is a bit of a toy, but I have to admit I like the muti-wheeled thing its got going on. Wanted to know if anyone new if this is based on a real vehicle(I'm thinking a LAV-25)?? With a good paintjob/better antennas/scale gunbarrel/driver figure/lights/etc. I think this would be kinda neat to toodle around with. Does anyone have/orhadone of these? Would like to know if the tires are rubber or plastic, does it have any kind of suspension?.....that's it..

Looks cool enough, wonder how well it really shoots water and if it leaks. Found some places that sell this, and it's a bit costly. If it were cheaper, I'd love to see how well it could be as a flame thrower! lol
I wonder if this is a real armor too? Watch the vid, that sucker moves!

RE: 1/16 water shooting
There are several guys here on the forum who have one or more of them.Tires are plastic, and fixed suspenssion.I took out the water pump and water tank, wanted it more for a static model.I can't remember how well it ran over-all as I have had this for a while and did not really run mine very much.Took off a lot of the stuff on the outside of mine and repainted it.

P.S. I think I paid 40 some dollars for mine when I bought it plus shipping. A picture of mine....

I think Raidentech normally sells them but may be out of stock and mabe Banana hobby may have them.My opinion is they are not worth putting many dollars in them- not sure it was worth what I paid for mine..............but I can say I have one what ever thats worth ????

I never even tried the water shooting ability of it,but others may have.
Thought I would add this for you also...........front wheel steers and the back wheels power it.The middle four wheels just kind of float around on it so driving over a rough area is not very great. The four center wheels have to slide in turns and are free wheeling. For display static model it is ok,but for actual driving it is not much........Hope this is helpfull...

Those LAV 25s are a toy but I used the water gun mechanisms from two to make flame tanks. A Pz III ausf M and an OT-34 with bow flame gun. The Pz III shot out about 4 feet but the OT-34 got out about 9 feet and was always an attention getter. If you want to make a flame tank, this is a good device. Load thru TC hatch and "flame" fuel about as restrictive in volume as a real one. The LAV is a cheap junk toy with holllow plastic wheels.

Unfortunately only special mixture of H2O and orange food coloring flame fuel. Was going to use lighter fluid but never could figure a spark igniter without having some big thing on the gun muzzle. No problem with registering IR hits...once you have water splashed on the tank....he's cooked". Some one had a post of a Pz III on U-tube firing lighter fluid. Looked nice, but I never took it farther than water. Tammy owners were a bit paranoid with that flame tank so close.

This one works a bit better.

Any ideas how that is accomplished?

Snuggle up to the bar and BUY a Tamiya tank and after YOU put together an investment into something, let's see how you feel with this attitude.
Oh, and the LAV toy? The ground clearance alone would keep the toy indoors.
