Well, I think I know the CPU meaning, but when I made a search for the acronym CESE I've found some funny definitions, i.e.: "Coalition for Earth Science Education".
Could someone please tell me the meaning of this acronym "CESE" appearing in post #79?

Regards
Uhu

Well I do not know what it stand for, but it is the box that the drive motors hook to and the speaker. So it is noise and drive.

Many thanks Rivetcounter, for us non-english speakers the abuse of acronyms sometimes becomes very hard to understand...

It comes to my attention that Mojimi has left Arkmodel some months ago and so I would suggest all those with missing parts or still waiting for their kit's delivery to contact Tina at [email protected] to make sure their order is on the way...... Tina was the sales person prior to Mojimi and is very helpful ..

I was in contact with Tina last week before National Day holiday close & she told me that all the issues are being resolved & the complete kit WITH electronics is to be available by end of October.

Living near Ark/Hooben, I intend to wait a few weeks & see the complete kit for myself before laying down any money - been there, done that! - but I do hope that this time they hit their deadline.

BTW, for those of you interested in the Elefant & Maus expect another 8+ months per Tina. Lets hope it arrives before we see a new president sworn in back home.

Couldn't agree with you more, Ken. That's why I'll not place a deposit as requested but wait until I can see the final product in a few weeks... maybe longer. Honestly, I really would like to see them hit the mark for a change & do well with this new line but then again, I've been waiting patiently for their 1/100 Yoshino kit since March of last year that was supposedly just a few months away from completion. As of last week, they claim another 9 months is needed to finish the resin parts.

it's a shame they have missed every dead line given by themselves over the last few years as they have some very interesting models that will no doubt sell very well once they are fully produced

Thanks Hal_Husker, but CSC is totally different from CESE, amongst the definitions I've found, the one I prefer is: "Conical-Scanning Earth Sensor Electronics", at least is on the "tech" side

After seeing that beautiful color packaging that appeared recently, I'm certain we ALL know what the true meaning of CESE is...

Then again, interpretation is up to the reader, eh?

T55: Well I finale got an shipper name for the remaining parts, it China post. That is the Post office. The tracking look much like the old US post office, they tell when your package starts and when it is deliver. Thay say 10 to 15 days, it has been 11.

Ok What is the BOTTOM LINE her. Are these things ready for retail or are they not. I have no interest in buying a kit and spending 9 months chasing down parts that should have come with the kit. Can I buy a COMPLETE  Rolling Chassis. That means Lower hull, suspension, tracks wheels idlers, Upper hull, turret , gun recoil traverse? I will get my own gear boxes and electronics. Can this be ordered and will it come complete as stated? Does anyone know for sure?

A little more patience is needed. Been in contact with Hooben, extensively.
Everyone who has bought the kit so far and is waiting parts seems to be getting them. I now know of 11 tankers who have received their parts parcels, complete and well packaged.
At this moment. lead time from order to shipping from China is about 25 days, IOW you order on 01 Nov and the parcel is shipped 25 Nov.

Well that different, I am excepting all the stuff I was short tomorrow or Monday. I had gearboxes 6 month ago, never mind they did not fit. .025 too low, output bearing too big for
bearing holder and unfix able. I made new bearings, they sent needle bearings.

Yeah, i'm still chomping at the bit to get this tank but they certainly are not instilling any confidence in their reliability to me. When they can package ship and support a kit with all parts asked for then i will consider ordering one. Not until then.

I just want the basic tank with all applicable parts. Hull, tracks suspension wheels sprokets, upper hull, turret with all needed components. I dont want gear boxes or electronics. I prefer to use my combinations I use in my other conversions.
The pictures of the tank kits showing up at peoples houses wrapped in bubble wrap in a milk crate kind of freaked me out. I mean ARE YOU SERIOUS?

I'd take one with everything except electronics, ~if~ the gearboxes are decent, and fit in the chassis without modification. If not, I may have to order from someone second-hand, as I'm not up to scratch-fitting a gearbox into a chassis except in the simplest kinds (Like DMD's into an older Tamiya chassis like the 1A4) Now if someone like RCCommand or Willy makes a drop-in set, thats another solution.

If this is going to be that much of a B*st*rd kit, I'll sadly have to pass, despite dearly wanting to make a Soviet 'Beast' so it can get lost in the 'Stan, and attacked by the Muj! (ok, mebbe its just the large sandy playground down the street...
