From what I can see there's nothing wrong with that spray job. Nice work

There may have been a few "L" models with three colors but "J" 's it is very unlikely. The three color scheme came along far too late in the war to have seen many J models left. Doesn't mean it isn't possible, just not very likely.

RE: PZ III WIP
Mr Shaker I have a PzIII being biult by Phil. It is one of my favorite tanks. I for one am impressed by the welds and the overall metal look of the tank. FOr lack of better works it looks like a "working tank" I also like the chain on front. Got to find me some of those.
Be well,
David

Wow! Thanks guys! I wasn't expecting so much positive feedback. I wasn't sure if they had a 3 color camo on these tanks, but I really wanted to try doing it. I am waiting for the asiatam muffler to come from Phil this week...also not sure if that is correct, but I sure think it'll look cool! lol.
Here's a few more pics in the meantime.

Joe,
First paint job my *** lol. That is great. You just lead us to believe that you have never done this sort of thing before and then wammo.......beautiful artwork. So how did you do the metal edges? Tell us oh gifted one. Is that dry brushing or sponge technique? Seriously though great work, my airbrush I bought a month ago-still in box.
Cheers,
Wade

LOL at rebellion. I have actually never used an airbrush to do this before...actually I never did any real camo before this attempt. I have watched guys like yhr and wight and pattoncommander and sevo, and a bunch of other very gifted builders here and I tried to take what they offer and do it on my builds. I look at some of the work and want to be half as good. I figure in the past 6 months or so I have improved and plan to keep improving with each tank.
As for the metal effects, I used a pencil and went over the areas I wanted to look like bare metal. I saw that on someone's post and it works great.
Rebellion, you should unpack that airbrush, it's a world of difference brother!! And, did you buy that Perhsing yet...or the Sherman? lol

Ah, the welds were fun. lol . I used milliput to make them on this tank. Rolled the milliput in my hands to make a long, fine piece and then applied to the area. I used a small piece of brass tunbing to make the bead lines after it was applied. If you try this, I suggest dipping the brass in water with some dish detergent to help keep it from sticking to the epoxy....Came out pretty good.

Shaker,
The grils on the air intakes look pretty cool. Did you put those on or were they added by the first owner?
Jim
PS I still say your bare metal and weld lines are fantastic.

Joe,
Now being so new to this hobby you need to learn a few lessons.
1. You have to have at least three years before you show us all up. You've done it in what 3 months.
2. You are required by state and federal law to registar such talent.
3. I think it is also a law that you are allowed only 1 awsome tank every six months. I count three so far.
4. You must make at least 10 dumb mistakes on every model. You are lacking here as I count none.
TERRIFIC job!! Man you are an inspiration!!!!

He's a natural!
If I didn't like him so much, I wouldn't like him so much. I've spent almost 30 years doing this and man do I struggle. Then brother Joe comes along and it's like he was born with xacto in one hand and a Badger Airbrush in the other.
Can you imagine what he will do in the future. God help us if he decides to scratchbuild something.
