Default HL Pershing Track work with Tamiya?

Hey folks,

Does anyone know if the metal HL tracks for the Pershing work for the Tamiya Pershing? I'd love to have the metal tracks, but more so I want the metal T-80 tracks that HL are over the T-84's or T-81's.

Thanks!
Tony

Yeah, If I can't find out if they are cross compatible, then I'm going to have to go with the T-81 and totally different tank rather then "Dead Eye Dick" at the battle of the barricades....that's gonna upset me a little, for sure. But if I go with T-81 tracks, then I may as well do the Super Pershing at that point. So people, please help me out here and tell me something good to avoid doing the Super Pershing.lol

Metal tracks are a must...not digging plastic tracks at all.....they're all scuffed up just from running over the grout of my kitchen tile floors. It's like having scratches on a brand new car......

I'm sure someone has the tracks you need Tony. You might want to ask Blitz. He has some Pershing parts around and may be able to help you out. If not...well, the Super Pershing would be one heck of a build!!!

Well, I don't think getting HL metal tracks would be a problem....it's finding out if they work with the Tamiya Pershing. The only metal tracks available for the Tamiya Pershing or at least advertised is the T-81's and 84's......But HL has the Metal version tracks that come plastic stock for the Tamiya.....really weird after market selection.

Whoot! Thanks CT!!!!

Moving the idler or removing tracks for fitting purposes isn't a problem. I was worried about the track width and sprocket compatibility! Thank you very, very much!
I was just about to order some cheap plastic tracks just to try just in case I didn't get a response. You answered just in time!

Thanks again,
Tony

lol! I'm sure they'll last as running and working tracks, but I'd like to keep detail on it when I drive it over concrete! I do alot of concrete driving anyway, so metal tracks would be ideal for me.

Thanks Wight for clarifying too!

I didn't know dave sells them T80 tracks.

I just bought a pershing too, and I'm going to order T80 tracks for my pershing too. But phil doesn't have them in stock so I'll wait till I finsish my pershing.

Hey, congrats on finally getting a Pershing Tank fanatic. Dave doesn't sell HL tracks that I know of....

Anyway, I too tried to order them from Phil but he doesn't have them in stock at the moment. So I'll either wait till he has them in stock or wait until I've finished my build.

Right now it's 11:25 AM

As for that Pershing, that depends on it's use. Looks like he's been using it even though it's not fully build and he's done some things that I'm not sure why? Why are there holes in the speaker box and inserts....maybe he ran wires into it? Anyway, if 350 euros is a good deal, I'd get it. I actually prefer brand new and if not brand new, unbuilt but sound's like 350 is a good deal for your to consider.  There Pershing definitely is an awesome tank from just driving it around.

Yeah, you should jump on the deal. I'm considering getting another Pershing......but I'm debating it, because I want a different tank, so maybe the Sherman or KV this week. I'll sleep on it.

350 Euros is closer to 500.00 bucks for me to even consider a used partially built./kit bashed tank. I think i would just call Karen and order one up new.

That's what I said before when he said he could get a brand new Pershing for "530 euros" which equals $684.65 US which I replied "I bought my Pershing for $549 equals 423.71€".....but, 300 euros is still a good deal for a semi finished Tamiya, but given the choice...I'd prefer brand new and unbuilt.
