Wire Management Idea
Hey Brothers,
Just hit on an idea that is fast, cheap, and oh so simple. If the innards of your tank look like spaghetti, here is a simple way to tame the mess. Use fish tank air hose to make conduits for your wires. Then hot glue these to where ever you like. It holds the wires out of the way. You can still see the wiring, and it will keep you from getting your turret or motors caught up. Don |

Nice idea Don,
I've used the black wire loom found in GM cars in some builds. the spriral cut looms works well to in most tanks. I used to up-fit police cars with the lights, sirens, radios etc... A few years ago is found some tiny self adhesive plastic wire clips that work great in RC tanks. I running out of them and my supplier is gone, but you can see them in this pic of the Pershing I sold a while back. I also secure my receiver wires in scotch tape to keep them in a neat and tidy square bundle. I pre-bend them all together to maintain good wire hygene. This Pershing had no speaker box and whereas I use velcro to mount my DMD and MF, there is not enough room in the M26 for that. I'd like ot see a pic of your idea in action. Thanks for the post Bob |
