RE: PERSHING
Tamiya? It looks really heavy!

RE: PERSHING
No no... I wish I had a Tamiya. This is a second hand Heng Long. It was a great fun build. I removed all the old paint using a month long soak in "Purple Power" Then added a Rx-18, and a WSN recoil with a homemade flash unit from a disposable camera. Added a radio shack sound module. The Xmitter was made from the parts of three bad xmitters.
Dash 69 supplied most of the parts from his scrap box. I tried to make as much of the stowage items as I could, and ended up ordering some. The decals are Peddington. After Patton Commander pointed out that few PERSHINGS carried the Star with a circle around it, I removed the decal and tried my hand at making and using a stencil. The first attempt was shall we say... not that great. My second attempt I used a box label for a stencil and it worked great. So for about $60 I have a nice American Tank. Don |
RE: PERSHING
And you have braggin' rights to a custom made xmitter and recoil/flash unit. Now we need video and sound to envy you even more!
