Is the Pershing classified as a heavy or medium tank? The advertisement is heavy but documentation shows medium.

During ww2 it was classified a heavy. Sometime after it was re-classified as medium, but not certain about when.

The Pershing is typically set to heavy for WWII battles as the tank was particularly designed to combat the German heavy tanks.

There is debate that the US army classified it as heavy for morale support of troops, but shortly after the war was reclassified to medium. This amounted to very little service time as a 'heavy'.
