Conversion to DBC2

Hello All,

I aquired a metal hull Stug 3 and because of not being careful the power switch ( on a length of wire) was able to short out the receiver board. Thanks to Phil I have a wiring diagram that shows the connections to a RX 18 board. Transmitter is a Spectrum 5 .

My question is the DBC2 came from a worn out Pershing. WHen the DBC2 is installed does it retain the settings on the card from teh Persing? Will it function as a Pershing as far as momentum is concerned? I found the 2.4 radio to be outstanding in means of control of the Pershing and I wish it for the Stug.. Next will be my KV-1 still not finished, Elmod or SLU...have not decided yet.

One more please when the trim for left or right steering is to the max, Does this indicate an electrical issue or Mechanical?

Thanks for any input on this.

Be well,

David

AFAIK the momentum settings on DBCs depend upong the selected weight class of the tank (light, medium, heavy).
Switching from a Pershing to a Stug you should change settings from heavy to medium, thus reducing tank inertia a bit.

As for the trim, I'm not expert of the Spektrum transmitters, therefore I pass the ball.

It is as Borealis said, but you have to program in the weight class change manually.

Hi Check out Phils site or Darkiths ,for instructions on how to reset the board you will need to put the jumper in to do this.As for the trim being over fully, check the tracks to make sure they are both free and not fouling,I think it will be something slowing one side .Check both tracks ,make sure they both have the same amount of slack and are running correctly ,sometimes the Panzer3 tracks jump the rear idler and run offset, also check all the wheels and return rollers are free.
I f all the above are fine take a look at the gearboxes then the motors.
regards pete
