that's only for Pz III. Would be nice if someone put out duckbill extenders for VVSS tracks....they were`used much more than Winter or Ostkletten.[:-]

id get them if my panzer 3 still worked... rear axle has bent and it just throws the tracks immediately...

By the picture of the extra links ; they seem to have a Right & Left hand ; compare to the one side only of the asiatam ones .....

ostketten were outside extensions only. To have the extenders on both sides would require altering the whole suspension several inches outwards. Some Shermans were set up
to try this and it was wasteful both on time and cost.

You may be in luck. They have a pretty sweet set of metal tensioners listed for 15 bucks.

Yeah, those are only metal tracks for the Sherman. The Allies really did not have winter tracks. They just added Duck bill track end extenders and grousers to the original tracks for snow and ice , and mud.

Don't forget the Impact Winterketten that are very nice and a little bit cheaper from Mitosal.

The 'the-rc-dynasty' item ... are those ASIATAM tracks? I didn't know that anyone made winterkitten tracks other than IMPACT.

Do both make the Osketten versions too?

RC Dynasty is Mato ebay's outlet. Mato have been spending a lot of time dabbling in all metal, so I believe these are the same track listed on the Mato site.

<div>I think my comment wasn't phrased properly ; which led to confusion ....</div><div>I didn't mean that the extenders should be on the left &amp; right side of the sprokets on each tracks ; but I was taking about the " grooves " or patterns on the extenders ...</div><div></div><div>On the Impact winter tracks , the grooves on the left &amp; right tracks are a mirror image of each others ; which is not the case for Asiatam ; as per those pictures ....</div><div>In that respect , the Mato tracks look more like the Impact ....</div><br type="_moz" />

What's the difference?

RE: Metal Winter tracks at Mato

These are winterketten:

And these are osketten:

Winterketten look like more of an extension added to the track while osketten look like an over-sized track.

RCTankWars will have these in stock and they are SWEET, these are by far the best metal tracks that Mato has made. I normally do not toot my own horn but I had a small part in getting these made and I am glad for it. They are light like Impact / Mitosal, but strong and good detail too. Closed pin on one side, and that side also has the roughed up metal right under the pin head to keep it in. I have one sample set in stock and I going to get some Photos to post on the Website's Product page and get a comparison shot of my Stug III before and after I install these. Check back with you later...

Oh Great pics Jeff
