even though it's not to scale i thought i'd make the trailer wide enough to hold the T-34 atleast
still a bit of weathering to do and detailing |
RE: Dragon
Airbrusler,
Where did you find the Dragon Wagon at. looks pretty close to scale and do you think it can be RC'd? Thanks for sharing. Jim |
RE: Dragon
Thanks 1sgt
it was just a toy i picked up at a resale store out here value village so i painted and weathered it up i think it's a bit small i'm guessing 1/24 scale would look great on it as for RCing it i guess you can RC anything if you have the right things to do it with |

How wide is your model? Rex http://www.olive-drab.com/idphoto/id...ransporter.php |

Well we painted it today...
My son could not stand to just sit there while I painted the Leo so I masked off his Bruder semi and let him have a go at it with rattle cans. Not bad for a 6 year old. He did a good job of getting the paint on the truck and not on himself and he only had a couple of drips. He only knocked it off the bucket onto the grass once! We both love it. |
RE: Dragon
Tell him great job looks fantastic
one of these days i might get one of those Bruders |
RE: Dragon
Hi Pah co chu puk
Very nice job on the Bruder. I've got one, but I want to stretch the load bed. The problem with doing that is that I need another loadbed, which are available from Bruder spare parts - sort of. The German home company told me it thought shipping to NZ was too expensive - like I haven't heard that before - but wouldn't give me a price, plus they only have wire transfer, not Paypal. They did suggest I contact the NZ importer, who said they didn't have the parts in stock, but didn't seem to want to offer anything further. The US based Bruder spares won't ship out of the States. Makes doing anything damn hard. Mal |
RE: Dragon
Odd. I thought with enough money you could get anything in this world delivered anywhere.
Yeah the trailer bed is too short for all my tanks but the Stug. The bed is 7 inches wide and that is too narrow for most of my tanks too. Still those Bruder trucks are the correct scale and look much better green than yellow. I keep looking at it thinking I could put a motor in there somehow. I wish someone would make a correct scale Dragon Wagon in RC. I would buy one.<br type="_moz" /> I just found this, thought it was cool. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOWS235dB-M |

Hi Pah co chu puk
I think the general operative is that you pay for convenience, but every so often you strike one where that is just too inconvenient. Possibly would have pressed ahead with the German home office, but with wire transfer, the banks here make too much commission, esp on top of the shipping. If they had Paypal.... different story. Re the loadbed width, I used Plastruct I beams bolted to the sides, with a further I beam spacer to increase the width. Now my bulldog only overlaps by millimetres, instead of centimeters. I'm also looking at adding rubber grip mat to the bed & ramps, to allow the tanks to crawl on easily, without it they tend to slide all over the show. Yes, I'd like to RC it too, even picked up a cheap RC jeep to use as the basis, but that's several projects down the road. Mal |

RE: Dragon
I saved this to a folder thinking I would use this model as a guide. It's not R/C but it is 1/16 and incredible.
