RE: question with camo
Don't worry to much about having the right shade of grey. Most tanks were painted but the crew or Instandsetzung Kompanie maintinenace units. Paints were normally sprayed on crudely with a siphon gun. The paint base was mixed with gas, thinner, kerosene, gasoline, diesel or whatever was handy to serve as a solvent. The underlying paints or primer effected the shade as did the paint to thinner ratio. They did subscirbe to the standard military mantra of "If is doesnt move (or come off) paint it". Spare tracks, tools, cables, stowage was often painted over right where it on the tank at the depot. I don't have a pic handy, but I'm sure someone does of these painters in action. This very wide variety of camo patterns is what makes the German armor so facinating to us all. Please post some pix as you progess in your camo application.

This is what I have done so far. This is a Tamiya King Tiger with a un-finished turret. I have hand-painted it with Tamiya acrylic colour and used oil colour for weathering.
Hope you guys like it. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...eeth_smile.gif |

I've got to say, it looks real good to me! Far better than what I have seen in a while.
