RE: antenna

With 2.4, there is no need for an external antenna. The reciever wires should be spread out in two directions inside the hull, but honestly, I have never encountered a problem, no matter how I have them in the tank.  It probably makes a difference if you are using a long range, like in aircraft, but for tanks, I see no difference.

RE: antenna

There is no need with 2.4 systems as the antenna is short due to the wavelength.

The reciever has two antennae for a dipole arrangement, modifying one will affect the ability to pick-up signal.

However, if you ever decide to waterproof your tank & take it 4+ inches underwater, you might run into signal issues... ;)

Steve:
The rumourmongers and the weather network are saying 90 % chance of rain tomorrow but the weather radar map looks as if two wet weather fronts are paralleling a path down both side of us.I will be there from ( 9::00 Am to 1:00 PM ) most stay to 4:305:00 to clean up if the whole battle scene / town has been set up.
I have to drive my son his wife and daughter to the airort so I will be leaving early.
