Taigen Tiger Early Version, Upper Hull Removal?
 

If anyone has a Taigen Tiger I, Early Version, I was wondering how they operate the quick remeovable upper hull with the hoses for the Feifel Air Cleanrs.

It would seem to me there is a "conflict" there, compared to the late version which does not have the filters & hoses.

If it is a problem, perhaps it could be addressed with loose fitting hose material (easily "unplugged") or modifying the hoes ends to attach with magnets.<br type="_moz" />

Yeah, it is.

For anyone who has dissaasbled an HI Tiger I with<span style="font-family: Verdana, Arial; font-size: 13px; background-color: rgb(251, 252, 255);">Feifel's, I am sure they know the challenges with the hoses, I use replacement hoses made of heat shrink material which are easier to remove. IMHO, they still might become annoying every time you want to open the hul, like put the battery inhttp://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/f...wink_smile.gif

Cleaverly concealed magnets might just be an improovement.

Mine loosened off after a while Glen, they slip on and off pretty easily.

Then a couple of the connectors between the filters and the hoses snapped on me.. it's even easier now! ;)

Glen, When my Tiger arrived one of the clamps holding the pipes in place was broken, as I was planning to upgrade to all metal I included two metal clamps on the list, I made sure the holes for the clamps were a tight fit, I smeared the ends of the pipes with Vaseline then pushed the clamps in place (NO GLUE) now all I do is lift out the clamps pull the pipes clear, and I lift the outer pipes on the air cleaners clear, then using the quick release at the same time swing the inner pipes up and the jobs done.   shaun
