2 axis barrel stabilization for leopard 2

After a conversation at the event city model show Ive been looking into a way for providing two axis stabilisation for my leopard two. Today I came across this on eBay.<div></div><div>http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RX3S-Orang...item20d070e830</div><div></div><div>Looks like it could do the job, would fit between the rx and the Dmd. Also has a switchable function so I could turn the gyro on and off via my channel five.</div><div></div><div>Has anyone here had experience of these things in a model aircraft setting and do you guys thinks its worth a try.</div>

Looks pretty interesting. Don't know if you need more than one axis on stabilization though. Not sure zeroing it in with the DMD is gonna work either. Doesn't look very expensive though so I'd give it a try.
For now I'm going with the Alexadner Engel r/c sub pitch control for stabilization. It's quicker than the tamiya unit and cheaper. It's also plug and play and you can adjust sensativity.

Hey benny, the two axis stabilisation would be for the turret rotation and barrel elevation. I've been having more of a think about this and I'm fairly confident this (the eagletree guardian for sure) will work with the Dmd, I think the turnigy inertia chip which I have does the same input modification as this, just slowing the inputs rather than stabilising.

@rey really look forward to you getting this hooked up! Would there be a chance of getting it wired into the rotation to see how it does?<br type="_moz" />
