Turnigy Chip Set-up

I picked up some used turn ugly chips without instructions. Does any know what my layout and hookups would be for the 4 channels? Also what setting do what on the chip?

What are you using them for?

The female female from the RX plugs into the channel on the top to th&eacute; right of ch1. The Dmd plugs into any of the others, I use channel 1.<div></div><div>http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ps56e48030.jpg

Sw1 and sw2 control momentum in acceleration and deceleration respectively. Ie you can have momentum speeding up but none slowing down do you can emergency stop. I'm not 100% sure what sw3 does though and I've lost the instructions!

Edit: sw3 will reverse the direction of channel 3!<br type="_moz" />

Here are the instructions that come with them. Steve

Whoa.

Can this chip be used to change the speed of the servo in just one direction?

Like it could go full speed forward, but return slowly? If so, that's perfect for recoil.

Yup it'll do that I think.

Very good to get proper recoil speeds. i have one in my Tamy Panther and HL/Tamy Tiger I used for inertia. But after reading the instructions i came to realize that this is a great way to get the proper recoil speeds when using a servo for recoil.

Thank you all. Will try this once all my painting is complete.

This you may have an interest in Jeff, I found this while reaching out for help for how to hook up my turinigy chip to run my king tiger. and stumbled upon this in the search section . and with this setup I shell be installing in my tiger I for the recoil action. I installed the stock tamiya recoil setup ,removed some teeth from the gear installed a spring but I not 100% happy with the outcome with the king tiger. Tittle ( Another use for Turnigy speed regulator devices)

That's great Chief, confirms exactly what I was hoping for.

Now I just need to wait for HK to get them back in stock and I'll grab a handful of them.

I use the chip on both my tanks. I've dialed in just the right amount of delayed acceleration and a degree of rolling stop but not too much. I find it helps me navigate bridge approaches and driving in tight spaces. Takes away the jerkiness. Plus I still have tank shutter when firing. The chip takes away the ability to sweep shoot also. I feel is also reduces start and stop stresses on the gearboxes.

If you don't add some delay in the forward momentum the gear boxes can come to an abrupt halt. Very quick stop which is a little tough on the TU's, so you should always add some to the forward direction. At least mine always acted like that on my Panther G but that may be due to the amount of actuall gear reduction i have. Mine are Impacts built by Willy with a true 88:1 reduction. Could have gone all the way down to a 110:1 if i wanted to but thought that may have been to much. would not have been fast enough for competition matches.
